This isn't a blog, this is a rant:

The date of September 11th, 2001 will go down in history has a day of infamy. people mourned the lost of their family members, their friends, their fellow Americans, their fellow human beings.
on that day there was mourning, in America, in Mexico, in Canada, in all the western world.
but here we are, nine years latter, and where is the mourning? where is the remembrance? every one has forgotten, well almost every one.
People can no longer be bothered to think about it any more- cannot be bothered to think about any one who is not them selves.
today it is 9/11/2010 and people aren't remembering. rather, instead of remembering the fallen they have decided that purchasing a copy of the Qu'ran and burning it would be a better use of their time. on facebook I have seen posts from other people, other Calvinist even, talking about Qu'ran BBQ'S. for one thing, the United States was founded on Religious tollerence, they have every single constitutional right that any one else does, furthermore burning a Qu'ran accomplishes nothing. you mine as well burn a 20 dollar bill.

....But enough about that.
Today I was at a 9/11 memorial, with Speeches, poems, prayer and a time of silence. there were about 35 people there. mind you, this is for the entire county and the county has  42,178 people living in it.
......and it was at noon on a Saturday............


Now as this event was going on I see a pick up truck drive by, and in the back of the pick up was a giant sign advertising the Highland County Tea Party; now mind you, the Tea Party claims the be Godly and patriotic. but no one from the Tea Party was in attendance. they were set up at the state fair peddling ignorance and self centeredness.
Now the Tea drinkers Love their poster boy Glen Beck(Satan's' younger, slightly more evil brother) and their peppy fundamentalist pentecostal daughter Sarah Palin. latter today those two will have a dinner up in Alaska, it was $250  to get in.....and of course, they are serving beer, because boozing it up is the best way to remember a national tragedy killing thousands of defenseless human beings.

of course this event will be PACKED when it occurs in a couple hours. and why will it be packed? because it doesn't require people to think about any one other then themselves and that is all most people actually care about...their thoughts all come down to this:

themselves. their beer.  their food.  their money.
