Mormonism - the Gospel of YOU.

  The Mormons are appearing in  the head lines a lot today, in part because of their new ad campaign "I'm a Mormon."  this campaign makes Mormon's look like fun, happy and hip people- pro surfers and bikers, among other things  rather then who they really are- selfish, power hungry  Arminian's on steroids, more on that latter.
  
  Also because every one's favorite nut case, Adol-er,Glenn Beck (yes, I have to mention him in every post or I get finned by the FNHL- the Fox News Hating  League.) has came out as a Mormon.  Many are wondering what exactly Mormonism is, and some Evangelifish, and even a few Reformed, are  saying that Mormonism "isn't really that different" and "it's the same Jesus." just so that they may keep Glenn Beck.  So in this post, I wish to show the Evangelifish the error of their statement. so let's dive into some man centered theology!





Let's look at who their false god is, then we will look at the Garden of Eden, eventually we will talk about Christ and our redemption.
                                 The god of Mormonism


  Mormon's claim that God was once a man on a another planet, in a other Galaxy. he became a god by upholding the laws and ordinances of his god, the god whom created the galaxy he lived in, without breaking a single one, and thus his god rewarded him by making him the God of the galaxy we live in and guess what, Mormonism claims that YOU TOO CAN BECOME YOUR VERY OWN GOD, yes that's right, you! just follow all 613 laws without breaking a one and God will make you a god of your very own galaxy! Hooray for you! oh wait, Jesus Christ was the only person who was sinless...well, better try harder!  This is a very, very, serious heresy. it comes from man's selfishness, from man desiring to be God, desiring to dethrone Him.  Word of faithers claim that you are a little god, but Mormonism claims you can be a full blown god, one that surpasses God in every way, we are only one teaching in and we can already see that Mormonism teaches self riotousness and promises to make you a god, this is a recurring theme, and it makes me a little sick. I cannot possible articulate my disgust, furthermore, Mormonism teaches that God has thousands of spirit wives, birthing spirit children around the clock (all half brothers of Jesus Christ.) but this gets worse- Mormonism claims that every one alive existed in Heaven before being born, and is the physical child of god and one of his five thousand or so wives. So once again, man now has a sense of entitlement, and man is equal with Jesus Christ. obviously, there is no trinity in Mormonism. God the Father, the Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ are three separate gods..


           Mormonism is pure Racism-LDS on Satan.


  According to  Mormons, some spirits (people before they were born.) rebelled against God, and some did not, those who did not rebel were born white and those who rebelled were (as a punishment)  born black, Asian, Latino, Jewish, or any other ethnic minority, of course Satan was one of the spirits that rebelled and thus all minorities are in league with Satan. I can see how this can appeal to a notorious racist like Glenn Beck also, wasn't Jesus Christ the man a Jew? So following Mormons logic, because Christ the man was Jewish, He  rebelled against God before His incarnation, therefore the entire religion is made void and impossible.


What part of"Euphrates"does he not understand?


  Joesph Smith said that he had a direct revelation from God, and in this revelation God told Joesph that the Garden of Eden had been located in Missouri....
" ¹⁰A river flowed out of Eden to water the garden, and there it divided and became four rivers. ¹¹The name of the first is the Pishon. It is the one that flowed around the whole land of  Havilah, where there is gold.¹²And the gold of that land is good; bdellium and onyx stone are there. ¹³The name of the second river is the Gihon. It is the one that flowed around the whole land of Cush. ¹⁴And the name of the third river is the Tigris, which flows east of Assyria. And the fourth river is the Euphrates." - Genesis 2:10-13

       Mormon Salvation-be your own savior
 According to Mormonism, Jesus Christ was married, had Children and was crucified. (Dan Brown isn't the first to make millions off that lie.)  but he was crucified to allow you to save your self. much like in Arminianism, Jesus paid some, now you by upholding the 613 laws save yourself. The book of Mormon says "we are saved after all that we can do." and Smith said:  "One of the most fallacious doctrines originated by Satan and propounded by man is that man is saved alone by the grace of God; that belief in Jesus Christ alone is all that is needed for salvation." 


  Of course this comes from a selfish place, they are saying "you don't need Jesus, you need you! and that's it, that's all that matters, YOU!"  In Mormonism, Todd is his savior, I am my Saviour, you are yours and Phil is Phil's savior. Jesus only died so that you could save yourself.   Thus the Sola of Mormonism could be "Soli tu gloria." (glory to you alone)
